Banc d’essai : Banana Pi BPI-M2 Berry, l'interface SATA en plus
Logiciel
Concernant le logiciel, la carte échantillon a été livrée avec le système Raspbian préinstallé sur carte SD (apparemment préparée en Allemagne). Rien de plus facile que de raccorder la carte à une console puisque, contrairement au RPi, le BPi dispose d'un port de débogage auquel vous pouvez relier un convertisseur série-USB. Le journal de démarrage complet est proposé à la fin de cet article.Selon le site BPi GitBook, les images relatives aux systèmes d’exploitation Android et Ubuntu devraient être disponibles, mais les liens m’ont renvoyé le message d’erreur « 404 - Not Found ». Ce problème devrait être résolu lorsque la carte aura été commercialisée. Le système Linux Tina-IoT d’Allwinner est proposé avec le M2 Ultra, mais rien n'est dit de la manière de l'adapter pour le M2 Berry. Peut-être fonctionne-t-il parfaitement, sans pouvoir en être sûr...
Conclusion
Le Banana Pi BPI-M2 Berry s’adresse aux utilisateurs du RPi. Présenté après le RPi3, nous pouvions nous attendre à des performances similaires. En réalité, nous avons affaire à un RPi2 v1.0 avec Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 et interface SATA. Le Berry étant proposé à un prix similaire à celui du RPi3, l'interface SATA pourrait bien être la seule raison de le préférer à un vrai RPi (3 ou 2).Il n'a pas été possible d'insérer le BPi M2 Berry dans mon boîtier de test RPi à cause des dimensions de l'adaptateur pour carte SD. Pour autant, la carte échantillon est une pré-série, et ce problème devrait être corrigé avant la commercialisation. Quelques découpages viendront à bout de ce problème. En revanche, l'incompatibilité des connecteurs LCD et caméra avec les ouvertures standard du boîtier est plus problématique. Ils ont probablement été conservés pour garantir l'adaptation à d'autres cartes BPi, mais au détriment de la promesse de compatibilité avec la gamme RPi.
