Noise is a key element in the design of radio frequency (RF) circuits that occurs in many forms and influences device behaviour. It is therefore necessary to distinguish between the different kinds of noise and to define how they are generated to minimise their effects in terms of variations in amplitude, phase, and data errors (bit error rate).
